Compass Associates were mandated by Nuffield Health in April 2021 to support an exclusive clinical team build as part of the planned phased opening of the new St Bartholomew’s Hospital in central London for the business.

As a result of a close working relationship with the new Hospital Director, where Compass Associates’ Healthcare division – specifically the clinical staffing team – had delivered multiple volume-hire projects when the HD had been in other roles at previous Acute businesses, the division was tasked with supporting the recruitment build for the roll-out of this brand-new hospital. The track record, trust, and the ability to source scare and hard-to-find talent were all factors in the reason to award the mandate on an exclusive basis.

The requirement includes the provision of 24 specialist nurses (across multiple levels of seniority) and further pharmacy professionals, to include a Pharmacy Manager, to be appointed with the view to start in October 2021 to coincide with the successful opening  of the hospital.

During the course of the project, Compass Associates delivered the following:

• 45 CV’s submitted closely matching the brief
• 34 interviews arranged
• 17 placements made

Throughout the course of the campaign, Compass Associates provided regular updates to ensure Nuffield remained fully aware of progress, and had access to weekly debrief calls throughout the project to ensure the appropriate hires were being made in line with the planned opening of the hospital.
