CRS takes on January 2023 Step Challenge

February 16, 2023

With the start of a fresh new year and the success of our January 2022 Step Challenge, CRS brought it back once again for 2023.

In 2022, CRS took the approach of introducing wellness initiatives throughout the business, which included moving our monthly run club to weekly (Twice weekly throughout January) and a step count challenge during January. Due to the popularity of the initiative last year, we decided to bring it back for 2023.

The challenge is completely optional and for anyone to take part in across the business. All we asked was for anyone taking part to send in their weekly step count each week, with the winner receiving a £100 voucher of their choice.

Our weekly running club was also moved to twice weekly throughout January for the second consecutive year. This proved incredibly popular once again to help boost people’s health kick with Christmas and New Year now long since past.

Overall, the January Step Challenge saw over 25% of CRS take part and collectively reach 3 million steps in total!

And the winner is…

Compass Associates Consultant, Kate Wallis was the Step Challenge winner by walking almost 400,000 steps throughout January. Last year’s winner, and CLS Senior Consulant, Zenon Raddon came in a close second, along with Compass Executives’ Researcher, Tegan Minto coming in third.

Head of Running Club and the January Wellness incentive, Jess Gower commented:

“It was amazing to see how many of our consultants got involved in January’s wellness activities!
For a second year running, we had more than 25% of the Portsmouth office attend the running club with lots of new faces. January’s wellness challenge in our Head Office was the ‘step challenge’ and 12 of us took part and collectively walked around 3 million steps. Well done to everyone involved you all did amazing.
Congratulations to our winner Kate Wallis, who walked an unbelievable 399,957 steps throughout the month!”
We’d also like to congratulate everyone else for taking part and for contributing towards such a fantastic amount of steps overall.
